The Giving of God’s Word
For many years, I have been purchasing affordable KJV pocket Bibles from Dollar Tree and Bibles from thrift stores to give to others as part of my ministry.
Unfortunately, the little KJV pocket Bibles at Dollar Tree are now out of stock, and I was told today that the stores are unable to order more. Whether this is temporary or they have been discontinued remains uncertain.
I have also called around to local thrift stores, hoping to find additional Bibles, but they currently have none available in their literature sections either.
I have now given away my last KJV pocket Bible and am completely out of these little editions. These pocket-sized editions have been such a wonderful and affordable way to place God’s Word directly into the hands of others.
I am prayerfully hoping the Lord will open another door to obtain affordable KJV pocket Bibles, whether through another supplier or through donations from those who may have extra copies to share.
I also want to encourage those who have Bibles sitting unused on their shelves or tucked away in their homes to consider giving them to someone who may not have one. Thrift stores can also be a wonderful place to find inexpensive Bibles to distribute when they are available.
There are people who need the Word of God, and a Bible sitting unused in our homes could become a precious gift in someone else’s hands.
Isaiah 40:8:
“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”
May the Lord continue opening doors for His Word to reach those who need to hear it.
